property (Gabriel et al., 1996a,b; Bédard et al., 2004; Bédard and Destexhe, 2009). Whole brain analysis of the electrical tissue properties at the microscale may be useful for modeling and analyzing EAPs and LFPs from different groups of neurons in different brain areas. Using the four-point probes method (Kelvin sensing, with separate pairs of current-carrying and voltage-sensing electrodes) is advisable for measuring the electrical impedance of brain tissue, since it minimizes the influence of the impedance of the current carrying electrodes.
