Text

The second grouping includes seven negative consequences that primarily affect the drinker (5 from the AUDIT): guilt or remorse; unable to remember the night before; failing to do what was normally expected from you; taking a drink to get over any of the bad after-effects of drinking; unable to stop drinking once started; feeling sick or shaky when cut down or stopped drinking; and needing a drink in the morning to get yourself going after a heavy drinking session.
