However, since racial/ethnic minority groups tend to reside in certain geographic areas and are not evenly distributed across the U.S., some investigators will have better opportunities to work with diverse groups while others will have very limited access. Addressing this problem will require some investigators with expertise in genetic research to develop collaborations with others institutions or investigators who have successfully worked in these communities in order to recruit adequately sized and racially/ethnically diverse samples.
