rates or processes of learning. Second, we observed a significant decrease in peak latency across the 10–17 year developmental window we examined here. Consistent with Eppinger et al. (2009) andHämmerer et al. (2011), perhaps an increasing reliance on internal representations of feedback confers a processing advantage, which manifests in a shorter feedback latency across development. This is the only study we know of to report statistically significant developmental latency effects on the FRN. Future developmental studies of the FRN should include peak latency as an outcome measure.
