Candidate genes at each locus were compiled using LD information, ANNOVAR-derived annotation and eQTL lookup results. A literature review was conducted for potential candidate genes at each new HR locus. Sources of information included: published articles, GeneCards, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man®, the Human Protein Atlas, STRING and UniProt. We searched for information on the corresponding mouse models via the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium and the Jackson Laboratory online catalogue.
