each antidepressant were comparable in responders and nonresponders (Table 1), who also did not differ from each other or from healthy controls in gender, age, education or handedness (Table 2). There was no significant difference between responders and nonresponders in severity of depression on Beck Depression Inventory or Hamilton Depression scale (HAM-D; 39) before treatment, but responders had significantly lower HAM-D scores than nonresponders post-treatment.
