By making use of UniProtKB/Swiss-Prot richness, UniPathway is able to offer several perspectives to understand metabolism: a protein perspective, a genomic perspective and a taxonomic perspective. The chemical perspective is based on KEGG LIGAND compounds and reactions with the kind permission of the Kanehisa Laboratory (16).
