Text

the frontal lobes exhibit impulsive aggression (Kuruoglu et al 1996; Deckel 1999; Blair and Cipolotti 2000). Additionally, induction studies of transient anger are associated with orbitofrontal activation, suggesting a role for this region in anger regulation (Dougherty et al 1999; Kimbrell et al 1999). Moreover, as noted in a review by Giancola (1995), and subsequently stressed by Hoaken et al (1998), executive cognitive functions have proved to be involved in the expression of aggressive behavior (Ratti et al 2002).
