This study utilizes the Project MATCH outpatient (n = 952; 72% male) and aftercare (n = 774; 80% male) samples followed through 15 months. Inclusion criteria were current and primary DSM-III-R diagnosis of alcohol abuse or dependence, a minimum age of 18, and a minimum sixth grade reading level.
