Finally, we asked whether interareal phase synchronization distinguished ipsi- and contraversive saccade planning in the memory-guided saccade task. There was no statistically significant difference between ipsi- and contraversive saccade conditions in phase synchronization across both theta and beta bands in the window of 400–1,100 ms following the stimulus onset (Fig. 3e,g).
