DNA from the 270 HapMap individuals (Coriell) was independently prepared, labeled and hybridized to the SNP 6.0 arrays (in distinct plate layouts) at Affymetrix and the Broad Institute. Varying subsets of these samples were prepared and hybridized at seven different testing labs to test reproducibility of genotypes. DNA from 790 individuals (part of the collection of ‘HapMap Phase III’ samples (Coriell)) was prepared, labeled and hybridized at the Broad Institute.
