The current investigation was based on individuals from the NCS-R (n = 5,672) who reported data on both panic psychopathology and history of marijuana use. The sample was 53% women, with an average age of 45.05 years (SD = 17.9). The racial and ethnic representation of the study participants was 72.8% Caucasian, 11.6% African American, 11.1% Hispanic, and 4.5% from other ethnicities. The average income among respondents was $59,277 (SD = $48,788), and the average years of education completed was 13.08 (SD = 2.5).
