RNA was extracted from frozen tissue according to the manufacturer´s protocol using the Qiagen RNeasy microKit (Qiagen, Hilden, Germany). The RNA Integrity Number (RIN) of all samples was determined using a TapeStation 4200 (Agilent, Santa Clara, CA). RIN values of 273 samples were larger than 5.5, for which libraries were prepared using the TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Library Prep Kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA). RNA sequencing was performed on the NovaSeq 6000 (Illumina) at the Life & Brain Center in Bonn, Germany with read lengths of 2 × 100 bp and a sequencing depth of 62.5 M read pairs per sample on average. Technical replicates were sequenced for all but four samples.
