Chunk #32 — Methods — Testing the effect of inbreeding on personality traits

Source
Maintenance of genetic variation in human personality: testing evolutionary models by estimating heritability due to common causal variants and investigating the effect of distant inbreeding.

Text

Additionally, we examined the relative importance of close versus distant inbreeding by comparing the effect on personality traits of short (<5Mb) versus long (>5Mb) ROHs. ROHs with a length of 5Mb or less should originate from a common ancestor ten or more generations ago, whereas longer ROHs should originate from a common ancestor less than ten generations ago.
