Text

In a similar experiment using visual stimuli, Patterson and colleagues (1987) found diminished visual Nd amplitudes in abstinent alcoholics. N1 amplitudes were reduced to both the frequent nontargets and rare targets in the relevant channel. These results suggest that alcoholics may have greater difficulty with visual, compared with auditory, selective-attention tasks.
