To examine the genetic correlation47 of COPD and smoking behaviours (cigarettes per day and ever-smoking status) over the entire genome, we performed LD score regression46 using summary statistics from our current COPD study as noted above and publically available summary statistics from the 2010 Tobacco and Genetics Consortium GWAS45.
