BMI was calculated as weight in kilograms and divided by height in squared meters. Children and adolescents with a BMI over the 90th age and gender specific BMI percentile were considered overweight and children and adolescents with BMI at or over 97th percentile were considered obese [22]. In adults, overweight was defined as BMI ≥ 25 kg/m2, obesity as BMI ≥ 30 kg/m2 [23].
