We did not detect any associations between cortical thickness or surface area and current comorbid depression or anxiety disorder in adults (respectively N=167 and N=224) or in children (respectively N=29 and N=132). These numbers, however, are too small because of the lack of systematic assessment of comorbidities in some samples and reflect an underestimation of comorbidity due to exclusion of comorbid cases in other samples.
