(A) Deletion or microdeletion analysis For the analysis of microdeletions, use the Out-Fwd and Out-Rev primers, both of which are designed to anneal outside of the deleted region, to verify the successful deletion by product size analysis. If the deletion size is more than 1 kb, set up a parallel set of PCRs with In-Fwd and In-Rev primers to screen for the presence of the WT allele (Fig. 5c).
