Other glial cell types showed non-significant activation of this module, with the weakest being microglia. In response to cell stress, microglia release pro-inflammatory cytokines that may trigger an interferon response in other cell types, potentially responsible for broader patterns of interferon activation we observe across multiple striatal cell types in OUD84.
