But one cannot ignore the remarkable similarity, at the same time. For example, it is true that various forms of impulsivity, including 5CSRTT, reversal learning and delay discounting, all predict enhanced acquisition of stimulant self-administration.80, 83, 187–190, 259 Moreover, the neutral circuitry underlying the tasks contains a great deal of overlap, particularly in the medial orbital regions of the frontal cortex and dorsomedial regions of the striatum (Discussed above and summarized in Figure 1).
