Text

Our failure to establish a significant association between anxiety and the Val158Met polymorphism is supported by previous research on various forms of anxiety [6,24], including a meta-analysis on panic disorder [8]. Conflicting results have been found in other studies. Most of these reported an association between Val/Val genotype and anxiety and panic disorder [5,25-27], whereas Woo et al. showed a Met/Met genotype predominance in patients with panic disorder [7].
