Text

heterotypic continuity of externalizing behavior allowed us to better understand 1) the patterns of developmental change in externalizing problems over a long span of development, 2) the risk and protective factors that predict the development of externalizing problems, and 3) the ways risk factors in different developmental periods contribute to the development of externalizing. We examined the effects of 40 different risk or protective factors from 9 domains across 6 time frames for a total of 66 risk or protective factors.
