RNA was purified using the RNeasy Kit. cDNA was synthesized using the iScript cDNA Synthesis kit (Bio-Rad Laboratories, Inc., Hercules, CA). For the PCR reactions, 2X Roche LightCycler 480 SYBR Green I Master Mix was used and analysis was done with the LightCycler 480 RT-PCR machine. Reactions were done in triplicate using 0.4 μL of cDNA (out of 40 μL of cDNA from 2 μg of total RNA) as a template in a 10 μL reaction volume. Each experiment was repeated at least three times.
