These three ancestral haplotypes account for only 0.06 of the extended haplotype diversity and therefore they are unlikely to contribute significantly to the previously reported AUD associations with the two common yin yang GABRA2 haplotypes in Caucasians (Agrawal et al, 2006; Covault et al, 2004; Edenberg et al, 2004; Enoch et al, 2006a; Fehr et al, 2006; Lappalainen et al, 2005, Soyka et al, 2008).
