SNPs were replicated (P < 0.05) in the CART cohort with the same direction of association (Table 2). Combined analysis on all four data sets indicates that all six SNPs are associated with ASDs, with Pvalues ranging from 7.4 × 10−8 to 2.1 × 10−10 (Table 2 and Supplementary Table 3). Taken together, several sources of converging evidence firmly established that common genetic variants on 5p14.1 confer susceptibility to ASDs.
