a greater number of AUD criteria than individuals with no DUIs (range 0 – 11, DUI, mean (sd) = 8.3 (2.7); No DUI = 3.1 (3.2), p < .001)). The relatively high prevalence of AUDs and high mean symptom count for the non-DUI group reflects the high density of AUDs in the COGA families.
