We chose to analyze results for CRH-BP since it was located at the apex of the convergent linkage peaks for alpha, beta and theta EEG power and because it is a logical candidate gene (see discussion). The CRH-BP genotypes (8 SNPs) for both Plains Indians and the U.S. Caucasian replication sample were available from our addictions array (described in Methods).
