Statistical analyses were performed using Analysis (Soft Imaging Systems) and data are presented as mean ± SEM. For histoblotting and electron microscopic techniques, statistical differences during development between the brain regions were assessed using a two-way ANOVA, and further compared with the Bonferroni post hoc test, at a minimum confidence level of p < 0.05.
