Scores on the AQ-PA scale in our sample ranged from 9 to 41 (median: 14.0). The percentage of psychiatric patients included in the subgroup of participants who scored in the top 25% of the score distribution (AQ-PA ≥ 19) was higher than that included in the subgroup of participants who scored in the bottom 25% (AQ-PA≤11) (50 vs. 28%, χ2 = 6.41, df = 1, P<0.01).
