Also, issues regarding race and ethnic discrimination might evolve during a community-academia partnership. To minimize this issue, the concept of cultural humility needed for develop and maintain a trustworthy partnership between the community and the academia (15). Finally, another challenge is the perceived belief that the research relationship outcomes will served to promote social change (15). This article describes the vision, valley, victory phases endured establishing a community-academia collaboration based on the CPPR framework as an effective mean to implement a randomized controlled trial intervention. We also discuss the barriers, outcomes, and lessons learned from this collaboration.
