This GWAS was one of the six initial Genetic Association Information Network (GAIN) studies sponsored by the Foundation for the NIH (19). Individual phenotype and genotype data are available to researchers via application to the dbGaP repository (20). We have attempted to follow published guidelines for GWAS (21, Box 1).
