In blood, there was a highly significant (FDR corrected P = 1.27 × 10− 131) association between rs2549794 at a Crohn's disease locus (Franke et al., 2010) and expression of ILMN_1743145, which maps to the LRAP/ERAP2 gene (Fig. 5A). Other associations measurable only in the blood datasets include rs2304130 and ILMN_2134224, and rs6120849 and ILMN_2402805. These SNPs were nominated as associated with measurements of total cholesterol and protein C respectively in plasma (Tang et al., 2010, Waterworth et al., 2010).
