ability of the genetic score alone with an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.59 (95%CI [0.56–0.62]) for osteoporosis (Supplementary Fig. 8). Adding this score to a model with age and weight alone (AUC 0.75 (95%CI [0.73–0.77])) did not substantially increase discrimination (AUC 0.76 (95%CI [0.74–0.78])). A similar pattern was observed for fracture discrimination with an AUC of 0.57 (95%CI [0.55–0.59]) in a model with the score alone and of 0.62 (95%CI [0.60–0.64]) in a model with age, weight and height. A model considering all 63 SNPs did not change the AUC for fracture risk prediction (0.57 (95%CI [0.54–0.59])).
