This list may be over-inclusive and the candidate genes actually studied might be more refined and appropriate to schizophrenia; however, the subset of 222 cluster 1 genes investigated in a hypothesis-driven candidate gene study did not have over-representation of smaller ISC p-values (p-value ~1). Similarly, genes in DAVID cluster 2 (neuro-development) did not show enrichment for lower ISC p-values for the full set (4,834 genes) or the subset evaluated in a candidate gene study (401 genes, all p-values non-significant).
