LTP (p = 0.000), indicating that PTX did not effectively prevent the WIN impairment. Although, the NS_WIN_PTX group was also significantly different from the NS_WIN (p = 0.000), showing that a weak level of plasticity is still possible in these conditions. Importantly, LTP in S_WIN and NS_WIN groups were not significantly different (p ≥ 0.10), demonstrating that WIN effectively inhibited LTP in both stress and non-stress animals. The observation that PTX only fully prevented the WIN-LTP block in stress animals suggests that the WIN effect shifts from being glutamate CB1-dependent in non-stress animals to GABA-CB1 dependent in CMS animals.
