The CC (corpus callosum) is an interhemispheric WM tract connecting the two cerebral hemispheres, which plays an important coordinating role for various functions like bimanual motor tasks, interhemispheric information transfer, and sustained attention. Its role in visual and spatial working memory is well recognized. CC hypoplasia, including significant volume reductions in both anterior and posterior CC regions, has been frequently reported in subjects with PEA141, 144, 150, 151.
