Only three individuals were clustered in a group different than that of their self-reported race. Subsequent analyses revealed no significant population stratification within African American or Caucasian individuals on the 5-HTTLPR gene (African Americans: χ2(df=93) =110.9, p=ns; Caucasians: χ2(df=83) =102.7, p=ns). There were too few individuals in the Other category to analyze in the current paper.
