Text

(2015) finding that the intervention potentiated the impact of high maternal involvement on alcohol use only among adolescents carrying sensitive genotypes, we expected that (1) the intervention would increase the impact of low-risk friends on adolescents’ alcohol use but (2) primarily among adolescents with high OXTR scores. Also, although it was based on the subsample of PROSPER participants with in-home interview data rather than the in-school data used herein, Cleveland et al’s (2015) null finding for intervention effects on 9th grade alcohol use led us not to hypothesize a main effect of the intervention on 9th alcohol use.
