frequencies are characterized over a millisecond time scale with respect to task events. EROs have been demonstrated to be sensitive measures of both normal and abnormal cognitive functioning in humans (see Basar et al., 1999, 2001; Gevins et al., 1998; Klimesch et al., 1997; Schurmann et al., 2001). Additionally, these oscillations have been linked to several relevant genes associated with ethanol dependence phenotypes (Begleiter and Porjesz, 2006; Edenberg et al., 2004; Jones et al., 2004).
