The parts of the (co)variance that can be explained by additive genetic, shared environmental and unique environmental factors as estimated in the final model are presented in Table 8. Results suggested that 25% of the variance at a particular age could be accounted for by measurement error. In Fig. 2 the associated parameter estimates of this model are shown.Table 8Percentage of variance [at diagonal in italic] and covariance [below diagonal] explained by additive genetic, shared environmental and unique environmental influences for different age groups as estimated in the final modela Additive genetic factors (A)Shared environmental factors (C)Unique environmental factors (E)15–1718–2021–2324–2627–2930–3215–1718–2021–2324–2627–2930–3215–1718–2021–2324–2627–2930–3215–17 .28 .57 .15 18–20.47 .36 .47 .18 .06 .46 21–23.77.66 .58 .20.08 .02 .03.25 .40 24—26.91.78.69 .55 .06.03.01 .00 .02.19.31 .45 27—29.96.81.71.58 .56 .02.01.00.00 .00 .02.18.28.42 .44 30—32.97.83.73.60.58 .52 .01.00.00.00.00 .00 .02.17.27.40.42 .48 aACE simplex model without innovation for A and C with innovation for E (including a term for measurement error)
