in national surveys (Nock et al 2006). The increased risk for Conduct Disorder seen among high risk offspring in this study may set the stage for increased risk for developing SUD along with other psychiatric disorders of adulthood. Using a large community sample, Robins and Price (1991) showed that Conduct Disorder increased the prevalence of 10 adult disorders spanning both internalizing and externalizing disorders. It is especially interesting to note that the presence of Conduct Disorder in childhood increased the risk for future SUD even in our sample of very high risk families (multiplex for AD).
