Here, we refine and extend the results of Wade et al. (Wade et al., 2015) by focusing on AN, which has the highest rates of suicidality (Franko & Keel, 2006), rather than incorporating multiple eating disorders simultaneously, and only including health care detected suicide attempts and death by suicide. We applied multivariate twin models to data from women to determine whether shared genetic and environmental factors contributed to liability to AN, MDD, and SA.
