There are also companies that claim to be able to optimize the treatment of addictions based on genetics (e.g. Salugen, http://www.salugen.com; NicoTest™, http://www.nicotest.com, accessed February 2010), and predict the risk of developing lung cancer (http://www.synergenz.com, accessed February 2010). Such ventures need to be regarded with caution, especially given the predictive power of genetic tests is still highly limited at best.
