Text

Large genetic studies have mainly focused on cohorts of European descent. This European Ancestry bias is not unique to many of the cohorts in ENIGMA‐EEG, but systemic within the GWAS literature (Peterson et al., 2019). Although the proportion of studies including individuals of diverse ancestry has been increasing with several ENIGMA‐EEG cohorts including non‐European individuals (Meyers et al., 2017), this remains a critical issue that the field must address (Popejoy et al., 2020).
