One of the important applications of the multimodal fMRI-EEG/MEG imaging lies in imaging brain functional connectivity. Static images indicating brain regions responsible for the execution of particular tasks do not convey sufficient information with respect to how these regions communicate with each other. The concept of brain connectivity now plays an important role in neuroscience, as a way to understand the organized behavior of brain regions or to reveal the functional brain circuitry [194, 195].
