Comparing the functional connectivity matrices in the alcoholic beverage and non-alcoholic beverage conditions, we observed increased functional connectivity between left dmPFC–left insula and left PHC–left AG. We further observed decreased functional connectivity in a network including left PHC, dmPFC, cerebellum, thalamus, pgACC, AG, OFC, NAcc, insula, right OTG, and the hippocampus (Fig. 3).
