Measures were drawn from telephone adaptations of the Semi-Structured Assessment of the Genetics of Alcoholism (SSAGA; [22,23]), a semi-structured diagnostic interview developed for the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Alcoholism [24]. Parents completed the SSAGA-II, the DSM-IV update to the DSM-IIIR-based SSAGA. Twins completed the child or adolescent version of the SSAGA-II.
