Text

Upon arrival to the research laboratory for each visit, participants were greeted by a research assistant who explained the procedures and obtained signed consent from the mother. After a brief warm-up period, the EEG electrodes were applied and children participated in a variety of behavioral laboratory tasks assessing cognitive and emotional development. The sessions were digitally recorded for later behavioral coding. Parents were compensated $50 for each laboratory visit.
