On a zero-order level, parental antisocial behavior was, in general, positively related to life events rs 0.02 – 0.20 (M = 0.12). Parental alcohol problems were, in general, not significantly related to life events, rs 0.02 – 0.13 (M = 0.06) on a zero-order level. Parental antisocial behavior was positively correlated with CBCL externalizing at all ages, rs 0.22– 0.31 (M = 0.28), and with TRF externalizing, rs 0.16–0.24 (M = 0.20). Parental alcohol problems were positively and significantly correlated with CBCL externalizing at age 15 only, r = 0.18, and with TRF externalizing at ages 12 and 13, rs 0.19–0.30 (M = 0.24).
